It all started in 1945 when grandfather Frans Nauwelaerts created the Nilona confectionery, he specialized in products such as buche coco, rum rocks, chocolate truffels and the so called snowballs. For years this confectionery was a landmark for quality in Belgium and abroad.
Today we offer your these authentic products from our grandfather. We make the products based on the old recipes with only natural ingredients. We only work with natural products: herbs such as thyme, ginger and rosemary, fresh lemon juice, in house roasted almonds, Madagascar vanilla and of course Belgian chocolate.
All products are handmade in Belgium. In line with the age-old traditions we cook in copper boilers, to get the recognizable taste experience. The coconut cigars and nougat are cooled down in the drying room so the taste can fully develop. We take the time to produce every item in the traditional way.
